About Me

My Background

Hand beaded and embroidered

I graduated with a BS in Home Economics Education from James Madison University.  I have sewn since I was 10 years old and learned to use a sewing machine through the 4H.  I teach classes in both wearables and textiles.  In the past I did numerous trunk show and was part of the Potomac Fiber arts gallery at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria VA

My Medium

Hand dyed scarves

I use all types of fabric, paints, markers, pencils, beads, embellishments to create my textile art.  I do both Fiber Art and Wearable Art.  I will use any medium that will accomplish the desired product.

My Inspiration

Pendant made from shoe strings and beads

I became a fiber and wearable artist in 1999 when I made my first landscape quilt using one of my photos for inspiration.  For the last ten years I have traveled the world and documented it with camera.  My photos continue to be the inspiration for my art and design creations.
